Team Grapeful is looking for a few good people to donate and/or walk with us this year in Philadelphia or an area close to you. 

This year, I sadly lost two young friends to pancreatic cancer: Joe "Joey D" DeMarco and Scott Belveal. Prior to that, friends Ken Hornbaker, Genevieve Gelinas-Doucet, and my friend's brother, Andy Dixon also passed in their prime of their lives. I've also had the honor of helping many other people who were diagnosed and seeking solutions for treatment and living with the disease. 

Your support on their behalf is making a difference. In the time since I was first diagnosed in 2011, the 5 year survival rate has increased from 6% to now 13%. That's a HUGE CHANGE, but still a VERY SMALL percentage amongst cancer survival rates. 

We need a method for early detection, for a cancer that is often diagnosed at stage 4. Please help bring more research, awareness and support to pancreatic cancer patients and their loved ones, like Joe, Scott, Ken, Genevieve, Andy and their families.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
