I started a team for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's (PanCan) PurpleStride, and I would love for you to be part of it.  Barrys Team was started after my husband, Barry, was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in 2018.  Testing found that Barry had the BRCA 2 mutation, a mutation common to the Ashkenazi Community, which greatly increased his chances of developing pancreatic cancer and other cancers.   Many in our family have since tested positive, putting them all at an increased risk for pancreatic cancer.  Due to new research and new treatments available, Barry is a 6 year survivor.  Surgery and chemo were successful.  In the fall of 2021 Barry became patient 1 of a phase 1 study in the fight against pancreatic cancer.  His participation in this research is for the future of all diagnosed with this awful disease.  Barry's success in this fight is due to donations made to fund research.  We cannot do this alone.  We need your help!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
