in response to my dad's death

Help Sophie raise $10,000.00

dear everyone,

i am fundraising for the walk to end pancreatic cancer. my dad died in february of 2016 after four months of fighting against his 1% chance of survival, with access to the best doctors at one of the best cancer treatment centers.

surviving was simply an impossibility and yet he faced his illness with optimism, courage, and dignity. not everyone diagnosed with this cancer is able to do so.

in the end, he told me that he probably was going to die soon, and that it was going to make me stronger. he said that we (my sister, my mom, and myself) were lucky to have one another, and that we needed to take care of each other.

i don’t feel stronger every day that passes. i feel incredibly weak sometimes. however, i gather my strength every year to try to do something with optimism, courage, and dignity. so that others do not have to go through the same thing.

if you can, it would mean so much to me and to many others, if you are able to donate to my page. in memory of my father, and for the many others who need early detection, and better treatment, and a better chance of survival.

and, if you would like to walk with Natalie and me, we would love that!

if you can’t do either of those things, i would really appreciate it if you could share my page with other people (other $people$, if you know what i mean).

thank you for your time and consideration.

in loving memory of my dad.
