Waging Hope

In March of 2022, it will be 7 years since I lost my mother to Pancreatic Cancer. She was diagnosed days before my 19th birthday, and she passed a short 7 months later. When my mother was diagnosed, I had blinded myself to the reality of her disease; Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer has a less than 3% survival rate.

This cannot continue.

To honor my mother, I am running the Purple Stride 5K for the fifth time in Chicago this coming spring. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is an amazing organization that supports those living with the disease and their families and funds research on new treatments. I am hoping to match my contribution from previous years and raise $1000 to support their work and find a cure. Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.

Please help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today

I feel there is no better way to remember my mom than to fight against the thing that took her from me and my family. Please consider joining me in donating, and if you can't, I would love to hear from you about how she touched your life; any positive memory is welcomed and encouraged.
