Welcome to My Personal Page

In March 2018, Kevin Shields, husband/father/pop-pop was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.  He was given less than three months to live, but he surpassed that by six months.  As his wife, I was his sole caregiver.  It was so very hard seeing Kevin go through the treatments and side effects from them. On Christmas morning 2018, Kevin went to be with the Lord.

In memory of Kevin, his family and friends would like to again do this walk, whether virtual or in person.  We'd like to contribute to the efforts of finding a cure for this horrible disease.  In 2018, two months before Kevin's death, he was able to participate in the walk via wheelchair.  This year we walk for him with love and memories in our hearts.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

I’ve stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today? We would also love for you to join our team if you would like to help us build a large support group.

Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join me in the fight today.
