Walk on April 26, 2025 with Team Julie

Julie was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the fall of 2016.

Eight years later, she is still striding along.

The PurpleStride is PanCan's major annual fund raising initiative.  PanCan has helped me navigate the long road of walking beside Julie.  PanCan has also helped with encouraging clinical trials of new treatments for pancreatic cancer.  

Julie is in her second clinical trial.  Both trials have allowed her to be a Thriver.

The support of many friends has been an important part of the past eight years.  I am grateful for that support and for the services that I have received from PanCan as we came to new detours along a very long path.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
