Welcome to My Personal Page

Although I count every day as an amazing gift, October 21, 2020, was an especially exciting day for me as I recognized the fourth anniversary of my diagnosis of Stage 2 pancreatic cancer! I spent much of that day praising God and then contacting some of the countless friends and family members who have continued to support me throughout this journey.

Needless to say, the year 2020 has added many more challenges to most of our lives and has made my goal of remaining productive just a little more difficult. Fortunately, through the magic of technology, my husband Charles and I can remain connected with our family, our friends, and our church. Although Charles and I really miss the face-to-face visits with friends, church members, and family--especially the hugs from our grandchildren--we are grateful for FaceTime, Zoom, and Live Streaming that keep us all connected. In addition, I have been able to employ some of these programs to stay connected with my health care providers.

Unfortunately, one thing that has remained constant is the war that has to be waged against pancreatic cancer, the world's toughest cancer, having the lowest survival rate of all major cancers at just 10%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can't take away our determination to enhance life expectancies and to someday find a cure.

This year, because of COVID-19, PurpleStride has gone virtual because we cannot afford to take a break from our fight to end pancreatic cancer. I've stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Purple ribbons aren't enough. Please join me in the fight today.
