I lost my hero on June 6th, 2019.  My Beautiful Mom, Jean.  My Dad lost his wife. My kids lost their Grandma.  I hate this cancer and what it has done to my family.  

Less than a year prior, we lost my friend Richard.  I hate what this cancer has done to my friends. 

Watching my mom suffer and seeing her go from being strong and active, to sitting by her side as she took her last breath because her body couldn't fight any longer, is a devastating experience I cannot put into words. It changed me.  

A couple weeks after mom passed I joined Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Washington DC to learn more and take the fight for a cure to Capitol Hill.  

I have learned so much through this experience.  I connected to others who have lost a loved one to Pancreatic Cancer.  I have met new friends that are living with this disease and I will fight alongside them.  I have learned that life can change in an instant.  I have learned that I will do anything in my power to fight this disease and raise awareness so that no one else I know has to suffer.
