Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!

I’m going to help make progress, with your support.

I’m participating in PanCAN’s PurpleStride, a year-round national movement that funds lifechanging programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families and in honor of my mom “Millie”. My goal is Grand Club this year. Please help me reach my goal!! 

This is why I stride….Millie was a very healthy 80 year old lady. She did everything right! She ate healthy, she kept active by walking and working in her many gardens around her beautiful home in New Hampshire. She was independent and had no health issues. She took no medicine other than a monthly treatment for osteoporosis. Her father, my grandfather, lived to be 94 and it was looking like she had every reason to follow in his foot steps until that pain started in her right side in May 2015. The doctor ordered physical therapy…twice! Then, an x-ray was ordered…nothing could be seen and the pain was still there! Finally in November 2015 the doctor ordered at CT, then the diagnosis…stage 4 pancreatic cancer! Mom passed away October 2016. Unfortunately this is an all too common occurrence but, it doesn’t have to be with your support. 

Every dollar you give means more patients can benefit from PanCAN’s free, one-on-one support, personalized information, service and resources that can make a real difference in their lives.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
