Three years and still going!

In January of 2019, I went to see my GI Dr about the discomfort and cramps in my upper abdomen.  A CT scan and a biopsy confirmed that I had a tumor on my pancreas...an adenocarcinoma.  Fortunately is shrunk down enough to permit surgery.

After I had the Whipple procedure surgery in 2019, I had 10 months of no cancer, then a cancerous lesion showed up in my liver.  I then enrolled in a trial study to test a new immunotherapy drug.  After 10 months of that I was released from the study.  I then had stereotactic radiation on my one cancer lesion.  Today, I am off chemo and having a normal life.  I get checked with a CT scan periodically.  I've been given another chance to beat this aggressive cancer.

In 2019 I formed Team Panky to raise money for the Purple Stride walk in Portland.  Team Panky was in the top 5 fund raisers with over $7000.  This year I reactivated Team Panky for Purple Stride in April of 2022 and I've set a goal of $5000 to start with.

I put all my art and woodturning sales towards PANCAN.  Help me fund research so that others can benefit from the latest medical advances.  Thank you.

Please make a gift of any size to get me one step closer to my fundraising goal and improving more patients’ lives.

Thank you!
