I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

When I joined PurpleStride (and PanCan) to try and help out others who were as lost as my mom and I were when my grandmother got sick... I has no idea that it would do as much good for me, as I could do for them. I heard stories of kids losing their parents and walking in their honor, survivors who have been cancer free for years, and those recently diagnosed who were looking to others for some sympathy, understanding and hope in our eyes. I was in tears most of the day, but left feeling hopeful.  Hopeful that even if a cure is not found, people know they are not alone.

I’m grateful for your support as well raise the survival rate up from just 12 percent!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
