Greetings from the A Team!

April 29th is The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's annual PurpleStride, a national fundraiser to help raise awareness about PC and support efforts to fight it. If you can, please join me at the event. It will be on the campus of the Community College of Baltimore County, in Catonsville—800 S Rolling Road. The walk begins at 9 am and there's an opening ceremony at 8:30. I will be there by 8 am and really looking forward to it. Please join me! 

And whether you can come or not, please consider sponsoring me with a $25 donation. Many of us know others who have died of pancreatic cancer, including friends and relatives. In particular, The A Team walks in honor of Frank Heintz, Pam Shifflett, and Chris Poggi.

Your donation will help secure outreach and free support for patients, including connecting them with clinical trials; support and education for caregivers, grants to young researchers and advocating for more national research. We need tools for early diagnosis, to improve current treatments, and find new ones. Over the last decade PanCAN has helped budge the 5 year survival rate for patients from 6 percent to 11. Please lend your help and push that percentage higher!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
