Welcome to My Personal Page

I was diagnosed with kidney stones at the end of November 2018.  However, as part of my CT scan for the kidney stones the radiologist identified a racquet ball sized mass on the end of my pancreas. The ER doctor delivered the message to Mark and me.  We were shocked!

I found Dr. Douglas Evans at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He is my surgical oncologist and one of the leading pancreatic surgical oncologists in the country.  I am so fortunate to be in his care.  I had surgery to remove about half of my pancreas, my entire spleen and gallbladder in mid-January 2019.  The road to recovery has been at times rough & surprising, but I am determined to beat my cancer!

Today I am cancer free!

Did you know....pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

I’ve stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?  Please donate and/or join me in Milwaukee on June 6 to help me and others with their the fight today.

Thank you to all who continue to pray for me!
