I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.


It’s hard to believe that It’s been 5 years since Jim was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. At that time the 5 year survival rate was  5%, Jim fought his battle for 14 brave months.  The 5 year survival rate is now at 12%, better, but still not good. Pancreatic cancer is rarely detected until the disease has metastasized so it’s really tough to beat.  More research and early detection is crucial to getting this beast under control. 


Once again in Jim's memory I’m going to head up a team for the Purple Stride walk on April 27, 2024. I’d love to have a large team again like we had a few years ago, so if you’re willing and able please join my team and come walk with us in April.    Any donation you care to give is greatly appreciated, every dollar helps. I’ll be unashamedly begging for $$ each month from now through April. Please help me help our future generations so they don’t have to suffer from this terrible disease.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
