Almost 9 years ago my brother-in-law Mark was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. What a devastating thing to hear! And how frightening it was for all of us - especially his family, our family. Mark is alive today and living his life, fulfilling his dreams, and being present in each and every moment. He is some would say, a miracle. But that's because he has had amazing care and been one of the lucky ones.

It's time more funding was dedicated to this deadly disease. We are capable of so much more in terms of research and cures, but it takes money.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
