Doing my part to Wage hope in MEMORY of larry alton
In 2019 I admit I didn't know much about pancreatic cancer til my rescue friend, Larry was diagnosed with it late 2018 and was bravely fighting it with the same tenacity and determination as he does with the challenging fosters he's had over the years. Sadly, Larry lost his battle a few weeks ago but his family and friends are still fighting the war in his memory. Many know, I don't run and technically in "hibernation" due to the Houston heat but in his memory, I'll do my part to wage hope on May 16th in the virtual walk and doing a small part in fundraising!
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%.
I’ve stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?
Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating today, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2021.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join me in the fight today!
