Do it for Davette! Let's find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer

On June 12, 2021 I lost my mom to Pancreatic Cancer. She was and will always be my very best friend. She was smart, kind, absolutely hysterical, creative, warm, compassionate, generous and everything I always hope to be. When I think of my mom, I miss her a lot. She taught me so many important things and even as an adult child, I realize you're never really done learning from your parents. They are a gift, and I will forever treasure who my mom was to myself, my brother, my dad and this world.

We took a break from the walk in 2023 because frankly it's tough. For me personally, I go back and forth between anger and joy, tears and laughter. When cancer takes someone you love, you don't have a say. No one should ever have to live in fear of losing their most important people to this vicious disease. That's why, I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Here’s where you come in! I want to raise as much money as possible in HONOR and LOVING MEMORY of my exceptional MOM. It's what she would want as we hope for a world without Pancreatic Cancer and pray that one day there will be a cure.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
