Welcome to My PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

On February 3rd, 2020 I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer. One doctor at the hospital told me to get my affairs in order, because I only had 3 to 6 months at best. This doctor clearly didn't know me at all, or he would have known that I don’t give up that easily. Here we are 4 years later and still fighting the fight as a family. We are continuing to create wonderful memories. There are ups and downs, as expected, but I take every good day as an opportunity to live my life to the fullest and continue to defy the odds.

Please join us on April 27, 2024 in Las Vegas to walk a mile or run 5K to help us fight for people like myself, my friends Larry Kizzar and Bill Hart, my nephew Jay Orndorff who lost their battle and for the many others diagnosed with this terrible disease. If you cannot join us, please make a donation at this page to help us reach our goal. We hope to see some of you there, wearing your purple, but we thank everyone for all of your support for the past four years.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
