Pancreatic cancer does not stop or slow down, and neither do we!

While Covid was impacting the world in August of 2020, I ended up with the other fretted C diagnosis.  I had the good Lord and a nurse with me they day I was diagnosed alone in the hospital.  My amazing family, fabulous doctors, friends, strangers, FL mermaids, Mayo, and team IU helped me navigate through this life altering event.  I was told by some consultants that I was too advanced and I would have 15 months to live.  Here I almost 5 years from diagnosis and a crazy successful treatment regimen, including the Dr. House Whipple. A shout out to Dr's. Truty and Thor at Mayo, Dr's. Helft, Rhome, and House at IU; along with Dr's. Narayanan and Gandhi at Baptist Miami who helped me beat the odds. Dr.'s Chaloupka, Starke, Denardo, Butty and Benenati for guiding me along the way, and being tremendous resources. I can't forget the nurses, radiation techs, OR staff...that held my hand and provided excellent care. I am forever grateful for the support. #Stage3NowCancerFree 

This walk is also in memory of our beloved Uncle George Henry who was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer shortly after me.  He will be walking by my side in spirit with the same brightest smile in the world.  George was loved beyond words and his memory will forever remain.  We miss you big guy!  And also, Tim Dowling who fought til the end.
