Welcome to Team Ron Mattern's fundraising page.  Ron was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March of 2016.  He fought this horrible disease for 15 months and passed away in June of 2017.  He had such strength and perseverance during his battle.  Since he passed, my family and I have been participating in PurpleStride Philadelphia and we are so excited to have the event back in person! Team Ron Mattern is in honor of an amazing husband, father, friend, and overall person.  Ron was strong, fearless, fun, intelligent, and had a great sense of humor. Those are just a few words to describe how incredible he was.  My family and I stride in hopes of finding a cure, to raise awareness, to help those affected, and to honor Ron.

On April 30th, 2022, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will take steps together at PurpleStride events across the nation to honor everyone affected by the disease.
