PanCan was very important to Marv.  In April 2022 with family and friends he attended his first PurpleStride walk in Columbus.  He was fatigued from chemo and the day was chilly and rainy but he walked. He stayed all day and smiled and cried and hugged his way through with such determination. We had a great turnout and made the top 10 in Ohio donations - he was so proud of that.  This cancer is one of the most evil, ugly  and painful of all cancers and Marv fought hard, never losing hope and never complaining. Watching someone you love go through this is beyond heartbreaking, you feel so helpless.  That's why this fundraiser is so important.  Raising money for PanCan research could possibly, one day, save another family from going through this heartache. It might save the life of someone they love.  Save another amazing person like Marv from leaving us too soon. You can do something - you can join the team, raise some money and spread the word.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
