Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

Hello,

For weeks leading up to this time last year, I had been experiencing uncomfortable bloating and other digestive issues. Eventually I did reach out to my gastroenterology group and scheduled a telemedicine appointment with their nurse practitioner. Thankfully she ordered a series of medical tests that “much to everyone’s surprise” lead to a diagnosis of Stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer.

I was blessed to have a successful surgery in March by a wonderful surgeon and am receiving ongoing care by a talented oncologist…. and to date am cancer free.

The truth is my experience is highly unusual!!

My symptoms were just coincidental. By the time most people experience symptoms, their cancer is much more advanced.

I want to make an impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I would appreciate your help to do that!

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
