Anna's PurpleStride Fundraising Page!

In March 2022, I started working for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network as a Community Relationship Manager in the DC area. At the time, I hadn't been personally impacted by pancreatic cancer. 

Two years later, I feel extremely connected to this cause. I'm lucky enough to work with amazing colleagues and volunteers who have been deeply affected by pancreatic cancer and put their heart and soul into ensuring better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients. 

10 years ago, the 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer sat at 6%, barely an increase from the 4% survival rate when PanCAN was founded in 1999. This year, we celebrated an increase in survival to 13%! This number is still far too low, but it's progress that was made possible by the people I'm lucky enough to work with every day. 

I'd love to show my volunteers how much I care by becoming a Grand Club Member, and I can't believe I'm SO close to my goal of raising $1,000 for PurpleStride Washington DC!!!

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
