I'm participating in PanCAN's PurpleStride on Saturday, April 27, 2024 to honor the 50th anniversary of first meeting this beautiful woman, and the wonderful children and grandchildren we experienced together during 42 years of marriage.

Becky brought joy, kindness, and compassion to all who knew her.  She was a fervent advocate for children and a parent coach through the Connected Families organization.

Becky was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2022.  She participated in PanCAN PurpleStride the next month in Sugar House Park, Salt Lake City.  The PanCan community embraced her and showered her with love and support.  Things we both desperately needed at that time.  She battled her illness with courage, grace, and determination, always encouraging others through words and writing.  Her regular text messages to friends and family became a source of inspiration to all.

Sadly, her battle came to an end in December 2022.  

Her battle is over, but ours is not!  Each of us can individually and collectively make a huge step toward improving patient outcomes through improved early detection and treatments!
