Welcome to Dave's fundraising page in the fight to end pancreatic cancer

A little over two years ago, my life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  I think back on the days leading up to my diagnosis, the stay in the hospital and battling the chemo treatments, as if it were all a dream.  Well, needless to say it's not a dream, and unfortunately myself and thousands of others like me are battling this dreadful disease and praying for a cure. 

Although the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is still pretty low, over the past few years, the increase in funding and research has started to shed some light on this monster of a disease and we are beginning to see a twinkling of light at the end of the tunnel.  With your help and others like you, perhaps once and for all we can bring an end to pancreatic cancer.

This year, on Saturday, April 27th, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride will be taking place across the nation to  raise funds to help cure this disease.  Unfortunately, due to some previous commitments, I will not be able to join in the walk, but I am still trying to raise money and asking for your help. 

I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations!  A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. 

Let’s show everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer that we’re fighting for them.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
