Hi Friends,

I’m taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 and need your help.

I decided to work for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network so I can honor Ralph by raising awareness and fighting pancreatic cancer on his behalf.


Ralph was only 64 years old, living a healthy and happy life, enjoying his retirement, his family and his hunting camp when he started to have severe abdominal pain and felt lethargic.  We went to the emergency room and was devasted to learn he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  He had no prior symptoms as this is a silent killer. This disease was pure torture for Ralph and he fought as hard as he could, but, he was no match for the world's toughest cancer. Ralph succumbed to his illness only 6 weeks after diagnosis and after hearing his doctor say "I'm sorry, there's nothing more I can do."

The 5-year survival rate is only 13% for pancreatic cancer patients.  WE MUST DEMAND BETTER!



PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal – because the more money I raise, the bigger impact we make – and would appreciate a gift of any size to help me get there.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
