Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

I am a four-year pancreatic cancer survivor, and I feel good at my 75 years of age. I was incredibly lucky for being discovered in an early stage. I owe that to my wife who strongly insisted that I immediately see the family doctor; to Dr. David Ricche at Family Clinic of Oak Ridge; and to a wonderful team of doctors and health care professionals at the University of Tennessee Medical Center - The Cancer Institute. They acted quickly to my best health results and I am very grateful to Drs. Samavedi, McLoughlin, Charles, Kelley, Mosely and to all others who took good care of me and showed me their support.

I joined PurpleStride participants to raise money for funding vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
