Hey, there!

Back in October, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.  I don’t want to get into details because it’s still really hard af to talk about. Plus, the details don’t matter. I’ve been so hesitant to share because I wasn’t (and still am not) ready for potentially somber reactions.  So please, no “I’m so sorry” or “that’s awful” or “oh my god.”  Instead, your prayers, positive vibes, good energy are all welcome. I’m a fighter, a f****** warrior and mark my words, I am going to beat this cancer, no matter how long or what it takes! Oh and did I mention I was pregnant when I got diagnosed? I KNOW, HOLY S***, RIGHT??? I’m happy to report that I was induced at 32 weeks.  My second daughter was born 11/10/2022 at 5:58 pm weighing 3 lbs 1 oz and 16 inches long.  She spent 4 weeks in NICU and is now home doing AMAZING! She’s my little warrior.  I’ve been in such good spirits and so laser-focused on beating this. I’ve already started chemo, first 2 of which while I was pregnant (YASSS). I’ve gotten through 2 blood clots, a pulmonary embolism and currently recovering from Covid. So please don’t feel bad or sorry, because I f****** got this, I promise, you’ll see!  I have an AMAZING support system and God got me, believe that. Plus, my tumor markers continue to significantly decrease. You know your body best, so don’t ever ignore it and always advocate for it. I always live by this. 

With that said, I’m taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
