Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year, May 2022.  So, of course, I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

After my year long journey, feeling blessed that I overcame the odds, I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Having the Whipple Surgery, 12 rounds of chemotherapy, getting a pacemaker and with 14 hospital stays, I was ready to call it quits. My family and friends helped me, with the Grace of God, to overcome this horrible disease.  This is why PanCan PurpleStride is so important to me. I walked this past April, 2023 with less than a month after my last chemotherapy. I was able to walk a mile with my family cheering me on.  

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
