Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

2023 was a life changing year for me.  After my breast cancer diagnosis and mastectomy in January, in March I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  It was diagnosed VERY early and between chemotherapy and surgery I am happy to say I am currently cancer free!  While I will have to continue to go undergo tests and scans on a regular basis, I have to say I am lucky with my outcome so far.  

After my initial diagnosis I began researching support for those battling pancreatic cancer and I found the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  They provide support and information not only for patients, but for survivors and caregivers.  I made a call to their one-to-one support group and was provided excellent information related to treatments, doctors, and clinical trials which helped me with the decisions for my treatment with my doctors and second opinions.  

I want to make an impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
