As many of you know, one year ago (March 20, 2023) I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  After God and my family, one of the first places I turned was to PanCan. Although I had already been a financial supporter, I was amazed and encouraged by the incredible range of resources PanCan offers to patients, survivors and caregivers.

My cancer journey has been an incredible experience of prayer, pain, perseverance, hope, love, encouragement and JOY- and while 7 months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery has extended and enhanced my life- with a recurrence rate of 75%, and a five-year survival rate of 13%- I know my challenges are far from over.

I also know that in addition to God, family and friends, PanCan is right here with me and for me in this fight. I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of other pancreatic cancer patients – and I need your help to do it!

PurpleStride participants and supporters raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
