Our beautiful mom, Pam, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on January 9, 2023. She fought this disease like a champion; eternally optimistic despite the daunting statistics. She was so relieved to join a trial at UCSF, sponsored by PanCAN. It gave her great hope to be a part of the new research. But, her disease was unrelenting and she passed away, with dignitiy and agency, on August 25th, 2023. Our world will never be the same. We miss her endlessly. 

Last year, we participated in the PurpleStride walk, naive and hopeful that we could raise money to help fund more trials, like the one our mom was in. This year, we intend to walk again, heartbroken, but still hopeful that one day research could lead us to a cure.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
