Welcome to my PurpleStride Fundraising Page!

Hello and welcome to my PurpleStride page in honor of my wonderful father, Milton B. Schulle, who I miss very much. 

My father passed away last August, after a Pancreatic cancer diagnosis in March. I did not think when I participated in PurpleStride last year that he would not be here, in fact I had hopes we would be walking together in this years event. My Dad was equally hopeful, but treatments were challenging and in spite of his best efforts he lost his battle. 

My dad was a fighter and he would be proud of my efforts towards finding a cure and better treatments for this disease. Pancreatic Cancer will be newly diagnosed in 65,000 people this year - many of whom are young, with no history in their family or risk factors. Thousands of families will be impacted by this disease this year and it continues to be the most aggressive of the major cancers with a 5 year survival rate of 13%, up just 1% from last year. 

Please help me achieve my goal.  A donation of any size is very much appreciated.

ABOUT PURPLESTRIDE and PanCAN: PurpleStride is the largest fundraising event in support of Pancreatic Cancer with walks in 60 cities across the U.S. It is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one on one support through PanCAN Patient Services. Additionally, PanCAN supports caregivers and when I reached out while supporting my Dad, they responded immediately with resources.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
