Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all cancers. Across all stages, the 5-year survival rate is 13%.  Symptoms are often subtle and overlooked. There are currently no standard diagnostic tools or early detection methods. Once diagnosed, it is often too late for surgical treatment. 

There needs to be increased awareness of symptoms, further research into methods of early detection, and more treatment options for patients once diagnosed. 

This cause is personal for me. When my dad was finally diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, unfortunately it was already too late for treatment. However, in honor of one of his final wishes, I want to give hope and assistance to those still fighting against this terrible disease. 

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
