Purple Stride 2025, April 26!

As many of you know, my husband, Scott, was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in the spring of 2023. He is doing well at this time, keeping the cancer in check with maintenance chemo every other week. And his hair has grown back!

Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancers with only a 7.7% 5-year survival rate, and rates of pancreatic cancer are rising. We need more research for early detection and successful therapy to buck this trend.

We hope you will join us for PanCAN Purple Stride in Pittsburgh on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Last year we had a team of 20+ and many out-of-town supporters who raised $18,000 to fight Pancreatic Cancer. The Groovy Gorham Gang thanks all of you for your support. We hope we can do even better this year. We are making a difference!

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
