Thank you for supporting our PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser! We are taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Will you support us through a donation and joining us on the walk?

Mike was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer, a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET), just days before his 62nd birthday. Rare diseases are represented by zebras and Mike’s initials are MLB - hence the team name MLB Zebras. We are preparing for his successful surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX in January 2024 and recovery at home in Michigan. 

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more. Here’s where you come in! We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
