Dear Friends and Family,


On, Saturday, April 27th, Amanda, Drew and I will be embarking on a deeply significant journey as part of the Warrior Jules team in the PanCAN PurpleStride walk in Raleigh, N.C. We will be joined by Julie's sister, Mary Beth and her husband Mike. This event holds profound personal importance to us as we honor the memory of our beloved wife, mother and sister, Julie valiantly fought pancreatic cancer for 5 1/2 years.

Julie's courageous battle touched the lives of many, and it's with a heavy heart, yet determined heart that we continue her legacy by raising funds to support those currently facing this devastating disease.

PanCAN PurpleStride is more than just a walk; its a beacon of hope for countless individuals impacted by pancreatic cancer. By rallying support for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), we contribute to crucial research and offer invaluable support service to patients and their families. Julie found comfort, guidance and support through PanCAN during her journey. 

With an ambitious fundraising goal in mind, I firmly believe in the power of collective impact. Every dollar raised brings us closer to breakthroughs in treatment and support for pancreatic cancer patients. Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters like you, our Warrior Jules team secured the #2 Fundraising Team spot, raising over $17,000.00. This year, we're determined to claim the #1 position.

Your unwavering support means the world to us, and any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Together, let's stride towards a future where pancreatic cancer patients not only survive but thrive.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
