Welcome to "Michael's Posse" PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

As many of you know, on March 10, 2024, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Over the next couple weeks, Lisa & I prayed and began to research about this terrible disease. In the following weeks, we were able to find a fantastic GI oncology team at Penn Medicine. I went through 4 months of chemotherapy to try to reduce the size of the tumor & then underwent a full Whipple Procedure. Despite very serious complications, I was able to not only survive but thrive with a relatively quick recovery of the next 2 months. After surgery, I went through another 2 months of chemotherapy to ensure the cancer did not spread to the surrounding organs. God walked with us through the entire difficult journey.

In order to show my appreciation, I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need your help to do it!

Along with several family and friends, I'm taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
