I am asking you to support a very important cause, to further research and support services for people who are dealing with pancreatic cancer.

My wife Felicia and I are offering a challenge grant for the 2025 PanCan PurpleStride Walk on Saturday, April 26th, as we will match 50% of your donations, up to 50% of the first $20,000 donated by the end of March.  We want to donate $10,000 to this very important cause which has impacted me and my family. 

I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early January, 2024 and had a major surgery to remove the tumor in February, 2024. I am very fortunate, as my tumor caused symptoms and was caught early. I had 6 months of chemotherapy in 2024 and am now considered cancer free. I am now focused on early detection.

Most pancreatic cancers don’t cause symptoms and are detected far too late, usually stage 3 or 4, when the survival rates are very low. This is why a major emphasis of PanCan and medical research is on early detection and related testing trials. We need your support to further these effots.

PanCan is leading national efforts to support patients, as well as provide research funds. I have benefited from these services, and have had their support in helping me deal with many issues over the past year. 

I am fortunate in many ways. My health has returned, I’m working full time and I’m able to make this challenge grant. My mom was not so fortunate. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2023 and died 12 months later, on September 3, 2024. 

I have set a very ambitious fundraising goal of $25,000 and would greatly appreciate your meaningful donation to help support pancreate4 research as well as provide PanCan patient services.
