Steps with love - in honor of Dorothy Brozek


Hello! Our team STEPS WITH LOVE- is to walk in honor of our beautiful Mom Dorothy Brozek. Dorothy’s Pancreatic Cancer journey started on September 3, 2024 after sharp pains and a trip to the ER. It was there we discovered a mass at the head of her pancreas. Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. She took her last breath just 5 1/2 short weeks later on October 16, 2024. 

Dorothy Brozek was the most beautiful Mom, Gaga, friend and just positive breath of fresh air to anyone in her company. This organization has taken on a new meaning for our family. . What we would of done for more treatment options for her diagnosis. We feel the least we could do is create a team to help raise money and awareness to benefit the research + treatment for Pancreatic cancer in Moms honor.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
