Thank you for supporting our PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

My family wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

My mom, Bev Krohn (McNulty, Hum) was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in February 2024 and died September 8, 2024. She had just turned 65 when she passed. My mom was young, active, and had no other health conditions or underlying diseases. There are no warning signs or symptoms and as of today this is not a curable cancer like some other well known cancers are. There are also so many decisions patients and their families are forced to make with very little information and a very dark outlook. Support is needed from every direction when fighting pancreatic cancer. 

I am walking and continuing to support organizations that strive to find answers and solutions to this horrible disease so no other family has to go through the devastating loss of a loved one far too soon.  

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
