Thank you for your support of my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

I just recently was told I had Pancreatic Camcer in September 2024.  I actually started my Chemo infusions at the Huntsman Cancer Institute on my 62 birthday praying it would be my best birthday gift ever.  I was diagnosed with Stage 3 advanced pancreatic cancer and was told there was less than a 10 percent chance of surgery.  I was introduced to one of the world’s best Pancreatic Surgeon, Dr. Evans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  I just had surgery this week, and unfortunately they had to stop the removal of my pancreas as they found a tumor on my liver. While disappointing, I am staying strong and confident our medical team will find a Plan B and Plan C. This is why we need caring souls who can help the outstanding research continue and have an impact on the lives of way too many pancreatic cancer patiences – we need you to do it!

I am now able to participate at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer in Utah at Sugarhouse Park PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.
