Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!


In January 2024, our 41-year-old son Gerry, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Hearing that diagnosis from the oncologist was something we did not expect.  I used all my strength to hold back the tears. 

They started chemotherapy in February and it went well for the first 4 sessions but because of side effects and infections he was set back. We watched our son decline day after day.  Going in and out of the hospital for 9 months took a toll on all of us.  Gerry lost his battle with cancer on October 19, 2024. 

For that reason, I want to help in whichever way I can so that others have a better chance of surviving.  

I want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in San Diego.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
