Hi Friends and Family!

I have decided to do the PanCan Purple Stride Walk on April 26, 2025. This is a big deal for me because the treatment for this cancer and the disease itself has pretty much left me completely out of shape.I am currently in remission ( Thank God) and not doing any treatment at this time . I am starting to feel so much better and I think the time is Now for me to start getting back in shape.I was diagnosed on May 19, 2023 with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. I had no clue what was about to happen. No one in my family that I know of has had pancreatic cancer. I have had such great support from the doctors, nurses and staff at the two hospitals I have been treated at, and also from my Family and Friends that I’d like make a difference in finding a cure for pancreatic cancers as it’s one of the deadliest cancers and the 5 year survival rate is at 13%, that is improved over the past decade from 7%.

There is more research on the horizon for better more targeted treatment therapies.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
