Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Personal Fundraising Page!

I want to make an impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and I need you to do it!

This cause is close to my heart as one of my dearest friends, Kathy Rollins lost her battle with this awful disease last year. After 2 years, 2 months and an astounding 52 rounds of chemotherapy, she gained her angel wings.

Last month my brother-in-law George was diagnosed with this horrendous disease. He has yet to begin treatment as he is currently enduring other medical complications caused by the disease. He’s recently undergone two surgeries. We are hopeful he will now be able to gain enough strength to begin chemotherapy.

I’m taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025 and am in need of sponsors. A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. If you are unable to contribute, you can still help by praying for my family!

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free and personalized. Currently, Pancreatic Cancer is one of the most underfunded cancers and the third deadliest cancer in the United States. It has one of the lowest survival rates among common cancers. The 5 year survival rate is around 12%. Pancreatic Cancer is considered one of the most dangerous cancers due to its rapid growth and there’s no early detection.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
