Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.
My mom Sandra D. Gibson passed away on December 23, 2012 - just a little over three months after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We would like to raise money to help increase awareness and fund research initiatives to find a cure for this disease. Sandy was a registered nurse for over 40 years and was passionate about teaching and learning with regards to health and wellness. She would want us to help prevent other families from having to experience a loss this great. Although she did not win this battle, we will continue the fight against pancreatic cancer for her. Our family truly misses her with all of our hearts each and every day. This will be our fifth year and sixth race in the Wage Hope to End Pancreatic Cancer and with each step I know we're truly honoring my mother and those who've lost the battle while helping other families not have to go through the same battle.
Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?
Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
