#Caminata Strong - memory of Al Caminata

Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

My brother Al lost his battle to pancreatic cancer just four months and one day after being diagnosed.  Al was diagnosed two short weeks after this photo was taken - in October 2017, Stage 4 diagnosis.  222 will be forever etched into our hearts as it marks the day Al left us.  Our family is joining forces with others to demand better for pancreatic patient outcomes in hopes that Al's death will inspire friends and family to fight this deadly disease and honor him with this walk.  Last year, we raised over $10,000 in the fight to Wage Hope and Demand Better for current and future fighters of one of the most deadliest cancers and to remember those we lost, who fought so hard! If you knew Al, you knew he liked to do things BIG!  So let's honor him and raise money BIG to celebrate his life and the impact he had on so many of us.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
