Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
We are waging hope in memory of JoAnn "Bella" Smith!
JoAnn was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer in July 2016 and passed away in September 2017. She was a wife, mother of 5, grandmother of 2, and a friend/ family member to so many. Known for her beauty, brains, compassion and selflessness, Bella always put others first. Purplestride welcomed her and her family with open arms and she participated/completed the 5k walk last year. Bella was a true fighter!! Although it is too late for Bella, we want to raise awareness and money to help end pancreatic cancer.
See below for more information:
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.
Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
