In 2019 I lost 3 wonderful friends to this terrible cancer, Becky Walker, Lea Green and Mike Skeldon. Becky was one of the awesome Davis Island moms from when our children were growing up. We spent many hours at Bayshore Little League, Gorrie Elementary School and hanging out on the island. Lea was a proud member of Davis Island Yacht Club, well known to the sailing community for her warm, friendly personality! Mike was a childhood/lifelong friend of mine from Kankakee, IL and Boston, MA where he spent the last 30+ years working and raising his wonderful family. All gone way to soon, and deeply missed by many!
