"Being told that you have pancreatic cancer is something that you may not expect or want. Some people may ask, "Why me?" I don't know or claim to understand "Why me?" I do know and understand that my God is sovereign and He is always in control.
So my journey began the summer of 2017 and God has been with me every step of the way! When I prayed for God to bring me closer to Him, little did I know I would draw closer to Him through this experience. Although we may not understand everything we go through in life (and we all will go throughsomething), I do know there is always something to gleam from life's circumstances. I am a better woman because of this journey. My perspective about life and the busyness it brings has changed for the better. God has shown me how to trust Him with each day, believe what He says, love others (not only those who are kind), value precious family moments, and maintain peace in situations of life. The love and support of my family, church, friends, MES co-workers, and even strangers has shown me that I have an army of believers surrounding me.
Jesus bore my griefs and carried my sorrows. Yet I did esteem Him stricken; smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for my transgressions; He was bruised for my iniquities; The chastisement of my peace was upon Him; And with His stripes I am healed. Isaiah 53:4-5"
